Hello Parents and Students!
I hope you all had a wonderful Pesach break and are looking forward to the remainder of the school year. Before the break we wrapped up our Algebra unit. I will be emailing your son’s results to you separately with comment. I also provided your son an opportunity to improve their mark by revising their errors for part marks. If they have not done this, please encourage them to do so. We will be revisiting Algebra before the end of the year so if some concepts are still shaky- do not stress. Starting this week we will begin Geometry Part 2 as the boys have previously covered the beginning concepts earlier in the year. We will be focusing on angles in Triangles- adjacent, opposite, supplementary, and corresponding, the Pythagorean Theorem and Properties of Triangles. It’s a great unit with lots of opportunity to see Math at work in our everyday lives. I hope the boys will enjoy it. In Language Arts, we will continue to work our way through English Workshop and its Grammatical Units, our novel, Luke Baldwin’s Vow as well as working on Creative Writing and Imagery. Later in the year we will tackle essays!
